Privacy Policy

This site is a personal blog. This policy explains what information irvingsteel.com collects and how it is used.

Information collected

If you use the contact form, I receive what you submit: typically your name, email address, and message. Submissions are delivered to my email and stored by the form plugin on this site.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address goes to MailerLite, the service that stores the subscriber list and sends the emails.

If you leave a comment, the site stores the name, email, and comment you submit, along with technical details like your IP address, which the spam filter uses.

Like most websites, the server that hosts this site keeps standard technical logs, such as browser type and pages visited.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not run advertising trackers, and it currently uses no analytics tools. WordPress sets a small number of functional cookies, for example when you leave a comment, and MailerLite may set cookies when the signup form loads. If I add analytics later, I will update this policy.

How it is used

I use this information to respond to messages, deliver new posts to subscribers, and keep the site running. I do not sell your personal information. I share it only with the services that make the site work, such as MailerLite for email delivery and my hosting provider, and as required by law.

Email subscriptions

Subscribing is optional, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.
